Hello again, demigods! Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but I thought you would get to Camp in the meantime, and I was helping out a few demigods and killing some monsters. Anyway, welcome to the new series Demigod Powers and the Mist. For the first few articles, I'll just be explaining the Mist, since there are so many properties of the Mist. For today, we will be discussing the part where the Mist acts as your private barrier, as briefly explained in the first series, Article Three.
Well, like I said, this thing, "Puberty", is I guess an "actual thing", but only for mortals. Mortals think that puberty is when your body and mind is maturing, and that is partially true. Only for mortals, however. For demigods, there's a private barrier of magic wrapped around you, keeping the godly side in. Think of it like this: there's layers over layers that "protect" you. Well, let's see. You have your own demigod aura, and some special kids can manipulate the Mist to see the auras of others. Mortals will usually result in just mixed colors, such as dirty and light brown mixed colors, etc. Demigods usually have solid colors. Ares kids usually have red, Poseidon green, Zeus blue, etc. When you're born, the Mist immediately wraps around you covering your aura up. The aura is the "godly part" of you. Your aura is the thing that changes, and makes you grow, etc. Well, as you get older, your aura starts appearing, because it's becoming stronger and stronger, and it starts to claw and break down the Mist barrier inside out. So as you grow, your aura shows more of itself, and that is what is called the process of puberty. You get taller, you get stronger, your mind becomes more mature, etc. Basically, the Mist reins your powers in and keeps it in control, but once the Mist barrier breaks, the aura will show itself at the brightest. That's why the older demigod you are, the easier monsters are attracted to you, because you will become like a beacon. You'll shine into the magical world, sending ripples all over the world.
Well, thanks for reading the Mist article on your personal barrier and puberty! There's still 3 more parts to come, so watch out!
