Sudden change in plans
Sorry, guys, I'll have to abruptly end my Demigod Powers and the Mist series, since I have another one to get through! As you know, spring has sprung, and we're quickly approaching summer, which means new demigods and another session at Camp Half-Blood! I'll have another "Getting to Camp Half-Blood" series along with a "Getting to Camp Jupiter" series!

Demigod Powers: "Ares (Mars)" - Demigod Powers and the Mist
Ooh, we're at Ares already? Well, speaking of him (unfortunately, I too speak from experience) he's not the nicest god you'll ever meet. He's usually harsh to his children as well! (Unless he's in a really GOOD mood). Mars is much, much nicer, and he sort of deserves respect, but his Greek form is just... blech! But he has some amazing powers, and his children [sometimes] inherit them. Here we go!
Weaponry: Ares and Mars children alike are uniquely skilled with violence, weaponry, bullying, and stuff of that sort. They just have a natural sense of dealing with weapons.
The Blessing of Ares: Ares kids, occasionally, during battle, receive the Blessing of Ares (Mars, whatever). The known ones are Clarisse La Rue, who was seen to have a fiery red aura around her during the Second Titan War, and Frank Zhang, the son of Mars.
Enhanced Abilities: Of course, like all demigods, Ares kids also have enhanced abilities.
Sense of War: I didn't know what to call this, but sometimes similar to Athena kids, they have a great knowledge of war strategies, so Ares kids make terrific generals.

Demigod Powers: "Hermes (Mercury)" - Demigod Powers and the Mist
Welcome to The Demigod Guide, where I show you the ins and outs of the demigod world, Greek or Roman! (Well, mostly Greek. I'm a child of Athena, I'm no fan of Roman scum.) Today, we'll be continuing with the Demigod Powers series by showing you the gifts and abilities of children of Hermes! (Or Mercury)
Picking Locks and Stealing: It's actually more useful then you think. When you're a newbie demigod, and you need supplies to help you get to Camp Half-Blood, and you have no mortal cash on you, you sort of have to steal. I'm not promoting shoplifting, I'm just saying. You do need clothes, food, you know, all the necessities. But practically useless at Camp or in a war. Unless you want to steal the Minotaur's lunch. (Which is you) Tier 4!
Healthy/Fit: Not really a power, but sons (and sometimes daughters) of Hermes are very good athletes and are usually fit. Just because their bodies are made to travel a lot, and fast at it too. Lucky Hermes children are sometimes gifted a clone pair of Hermes' flying shoes, which will allow them to fly at an incredible speed. This is a Tier 5 power.
Persuasion: Of course they're not as good as persuading people as Aphrodite kids, but they're still really good. So keep alert around them! Tier 5.
Well, this isn't much for a post, I know, sorry, but I couldn't find any more powers! Next up, I'll be doing Ares, the god of War!

Author's Note
Hey guys. Well, time blazes past really quickly! As we're nearing 500 views, I want to announce future series for this blog! Also, I want you guys to get interactive and comment!
The next series I will be doing is very short. It'll be called Groups and Clans of the Modern World. It'll be on groups like the Hunters of Artemis, the Amazons, and even Cohorts of the Roman world.
Since we're nearing 500 views, I wanted to do something special. So I was thinking of a special 1-week event on the blog and on the community IDWT (a Percy Jackson role-playing G+ community)! Any ideas? Please comment below or just talk to me on Google+!
AND I ALSO WANT TO SAY, I LOVE YOU GUYS! KEEP ON DREAMIN' :)

Demigod Powers: "Aphrodite (Venus)" - Demigod Powers and the Mist
Break my heart, and you'll get puh-nished. I don't know what that was. I'm no Apollo kid, I can't write songs. Anyway, today we'll be talking about Aphrodite, the goddess of Love and Beauty! Aphrodite kids don't have a lot of powers. (About three, I think) But it was promised, so it will be given!
Good with Outfits: Aphrodite campers are awesome at choosing outfits for the day. Especially the girls. The boys are more loose and get along with other campers, but Aphrodite campers tend to be their own bunch. Except for some special ones. Tier 5.
Monster-Repellent: Aphrodite children tend to end up to be really famous fashion designers like that Gucci guy and people. Well, some end up to have a knickknack skill of creating Monster-Repellents. IT's a form of spray-able Mist, the kind that humans and demigods don't smell but it's intoxicating and HORRIBLE for monsters. IF you have one in a Mist Spray Can, you don't even need a sword! Just spray it around on your clothes or even on the monster and POOF they're gone! Spray on clothes if you want to repel all monsters or spray it on the monster if you want to watch it suffer. :) Tier 2.
Charmspeak: Charmspeaking is the ability to manipulate others to do your will by just speaking on them. Works very effectively on people who think you're pretty or have a crush on you or whatever, but it's easier for them to fight the effects if they don't you know, like you. Tier 1. (Because you can make monsters burn themselves or demigods do dances)
Well, like I said, it isn't much, but still powerful! Anyway, up next is... drum-roll ... the god of Travelers, Thieves, and Patron of Messengers, the one and only Hermes!

Demigod Powers: "Apollo" - Demigod Powers and the Mist
Have you ever heard the saying "Apollo likes children over poems"? Maybe not, because I just came up with it, but it's completely true! There are so MUCH Apollo kids. Anyway... well, Apollo kids can choose from a range of "demigod specialties" since Apollo is the god of the Sun (some say Helios still but EVERYONE knows Helios retired to Godly Acres Retirement place thing like centuries ago) as well as archery and healing [medicine].
Godly Knowledge of Band-Aids and Beyond: Incredibly useful. Apollo kids are VERY good with Band-Aids, antiseptic, anti-fungus, etc. etc. Even demigods have to use human healing methods sometimes. Sometimes. But still, pretty useful if you don't want infections from nasty sword bruises. Tier 5.
You were speeding, Healer: Apollo kids with certain abilities can speed up healing, the POOF! magical way. Most people don't even notice, even the Apollo demigod themselves. But when demigods do know they have the magical ability to heal, they can practice and develop the power into something much greater. For example, you might develop the power into even instant-touch-and-you-heal powers. Or maybe if you're deadly ill, your body might fall into a coma repairing itself magically and when you wake up, the disease, sickness, wound, spear-in-your-throat is gone and you're completely healthy! Tier 2, VERY useful in battle.
Master In Archery: Well, as you may know, all Apollo kids have a talent with bow and arrows, whether you're into archery or not. Useful for newbies demigods and in battle, so Tier 2!
Instrumental Skills: Apollo kids usually get As in instrumental music, music, and choral classes in school. It's because they have a natural knickknack talent for any instrument, the lyre especially, and of course singing and other things. Tier 5. Did you know the lead singer for Imagine Dragons is a demigod of Apollo? Well, maybe not, but the Demigod and Heroes Association (DHA) say otherwise. So do the Camp Half-Blood Organization (CHBO) and Camp Orseyous Course Orthodontist (COCO. Nevermind, that was totally advertising Camp Orseyous' Orthodontist Course.. my bad
Sammy Suns [UNCONFIRMED]: Apparently, some demigods of Apollo can create floating balls of light that feed off of... my research ends there. Floating lights? Sounds a bit.. magical and fantastical, but hey, we're demigods. Can't get more fantastical than that. This would definitely be Tier 2. Would be Tier 1 if they're actually like suns and can be used as an energy source and to you know, burn monsters in battle.
Rhyming Curses: Demigods of Apollo have the ability to curse other humans and demigods, hexing them with the Rhyming Curse. You are forced to rhyme everything all day, for however long the Apollo kids wants you to. The more Apollo kids focus on one kid, the more they hate music, poetry, and especially people who rhyme.
Well, I guess that's it for Apollo! Who should be next? Hmm. I think I'll do Aphrodite to fit in with the As. (Athena, Apollo, you know) See you next time! Septimus Heap xxx

Demigod Powers: "Athena (Minerva)" - Demigod Powers and the Mist
Now, now, mom. I'm not gonna talk bad. And fine, no Roman talk on your page. OK, MOM! Sorry, I was having an Olympus iMessage chat- wait, awe, gods, I typed the whole thing out on here? Oh well. Sorry. As you may know, my incredibly annoying but VERY WISE mother, Athena, doesn't like Romans. (I don't like pissing her off, hence the sarcastic "very wise". She has nooo idea.) Well, as you might have guessed, I'll be explaining the powers of me and my siblings. We don't have many "magical powers" so to speak, if not at all. But I promised, so here goes..
Very Smart (Like in school and stuff): Well, as you might know, we're VERY smart. Like a LOT. We're walking encyclopedias, dictionaries, libraries all rolled into one. Oh, and a very thick walking Greek mythology book as well. Our brains process things 5x the speed of a normal mortal and of course 10x the speed of some demigods. (Not naming names, but namely Poseidon kids.) This is useful when we still think we're normal and when we're in mortal school. Or in other cases like quickly spitting out everything we know about the monster that's about to attack us to piss off our guide satyrs and occasionally the demigod helper. Tier 5!
War Strategy: Ah, something that's actually useful. Athena is the goddess of Wisdom as well as War, but not anything like Ares and his children. The Ares kind loves battles for blood and sick stuff only, but we Athena kids and Athena only well, we don't like wars but we think a war has to have a specific, good reason. So, naturally, we're the best war-planners. No wonder the Athena side wins Capture-the-Flag often! So, yes, we are children of War, but unlike children of Ares. Tier 3, I think.
[UNCONFIRMED] Brain Waves: Even I do not possess this actually cool-sounding-but-sounds-corny-at-the-same-time power. Apparently, some Athena kids have the power to literally redirect their brain power to give a piercing pain to their enemies. Naturally, the opponents brain involuntarily creates a defense system, so the dumber the enemy (so to speak) the easier it is to create a piercing pain inside their skull. It's even easier if the demigod has been in contact with the enemy. For monsters like the incredibly stupid Minotaur, you don't have to already have met it before to create pain, because it's dumb. The stronger the pain, the more the brain can't control the body. So they may just slump unconscious if it's especially strong. You can even focus into one brain or spread out a really bad, throbbing headache to a trio or give dizziness and headaches to bigger groups. It's pretty cool. Tier 1.
Weaponry: As our mother is a war goddess, similar to children of Ares, you will learn how to use a weapon very quickly. Maybe not as good as archery as Apollo kids, but you'll get the hang of a weapon quickly. Tier 3.
Well, I guess we aren't much, but the powers are pretty cool. And, you have to admit, we still do have the demigod enhancements and the skill for weapons so we're not totally underdogs. Next up, Apollo!
